I'm the Highest High Techie?!

What is wrong with you people? I am lame! I am lamer than lame! I'm old and lame. Computers were these huge machines that were housed in cold rooms to keep from catching fire when I was a kid. That and we made fire using flint...but I digress.
YOU, don't know the codes for the heart symbol...the copyright sign...the "dagger"...trademark...spade symbol...etc...???!!!

I'm scared, now! I am going to have nightmares that I live in a world of high techies and I'm the Highest High Techie in the land. This is not right, people!

At any rate...I'm happy...no make that overjoyed to be able to share how you make these little symbols.

When you are composing your blog post...go ahead and write it all in the regular compose area. Just use the word "heart" for where you'll want you're symbol to go. I also capitalize it...so when I look in that gobbledy gook html code I can find it a little easier. When you're ready to convert your word to symbols click onto the "edit html" tab, find your words, change them to the correct code, hit Preview to see if it worked and then sit back and admire you're new found knowledge. Watch the reflection of your head on the computer screen as it grows bigger. Knowledge is a wonderful thing.

So when you want to say I'm with stupid and have an arrow next to it. You would write "I'm with stupid and put in the code (& larr;) to show the arrow
The rest of the codes that I found are:

&; dagger; † dagger symbol
& spades; ♠ spade
& clubs; ♣ club
& hearts; ♥ heart
& copy; © copyright
& reg; ® registered
& trade; ™ trademark
& larr; ← left arrow
& uarr; ↑ up arrow
& rarr; → right arrow
& darr; ↓ down arrow
† ♠ ♣ ♥ © ® ™ ← ↑ → ↓
I hope this has made some sort of sense. Let me know if you have any questions. But, please don't ask...bc {short for because} I really don't know anything.

Updated: Amber has very wisely told us you don't even need to go into html. If you just type the code it will automatically convert into the symbol for you. Thanks Amber!!
