Extreme Makeover: Me Edition - Update

Welcome to another edition of Extreme makeover. Join us at Amber's for tips, support and lively entertainment as a bunch of ladies try to fit in a healthier lifestyle amongst everything else we do!
I've been trying to work on my running game and have transitioned to running outside. Man, that is way tougher than being on the treadmill! I can do it, but it's more difficult, and I find myself needing to stop every once in awhile to catch my breath. Today I got back on the treadmill and ran for 2.5 miles, no stopping. For now, I'll probably stick with the treadmill :)
My weight is back to slightly fluctuating, which I will just resign myself to. I'm at my goal weight now, and will focus more on getting in shape. My game plan is to be using weights and running to go from flab to fab!!

That's totally awesome that you're at your goal weight! Yay you! I *wish* I was at my goal weight. Ohhhhhhhh, how I wish.

I should start running. I could burn a lot more calories in a shorter amount of time. I just need a treadmill. :)

I keep hearing that outside exersice is more difficult than treadmill. That is an interesting theory. Glad to hear your at your goal weight, can't wait to hear about the progress from flab to fab!

That is totally fine to stop and walk ....just start back up as soon as you have your breath. Have you tried slowing your pace outside a bit? You are doing such an awesome job!!!!! I also posted my race report :)

That's so cool that you're at your goal weight. Running outside is WAY harder than inside. Back when I was running (oh so long ago!), I was easy doing 5 miles a day on my treadmill. Then when I transitioned to outside, I had to run/walk at intervals forever before I could run the whole time!

Now I'm back to not even being able to run on the treadmill!

Ha! I couldn't agree more! So I guess you didn't throw a party for Earth Day either?

Congratulations on your goal weight! You're ahead of me :-) We replaced our elliptical with a treadmill a few weeks ago (hubby's idea) and I HATE it - but then, I started out running outside. I've read that runners walk quickly on the treadmill at a steep incline for their workouts when they can't run outside...

By the way, those shoes on your side bar (from Etsy) are SOOOOO cute!

Hope you're having a great week!
